Paws Backstage provides therapy dog visits at your place of business to visit with your employees.

We give priority to performance venues where our visits help to mitigate the toll a touring lifestyle takes on traveling talent, their crew, and support staff.

If you have high performing employees, treat them like the rock stars they are, and give them the green room experience they deserve.  Contact Paws Backstage to arrange a therapy dog visit for your employees.

Nola
Dresden

Dresden has been a therapy dog since 2017. His focus is on stress in the workplace, and his special talent is to find the person in the room who is the most stressed. Throughout his career, Dresden has visited hospital staff, emergency dispatchers, teachers, University students and staff during finals week, and many office workers.

Nola is the latest addition to Paws Backstage. She is a rescue from Louisiana, and she quickly mastered her training to pass her certification in 2024. Nola loves to snuggle and get belly rubs.

Christie Tompkins has been a therapy dog handler for over 10 years, working as a volunteer and volunteer coordinator with her local therapy dog group. Dresden, focuses on stress in the workplace and was the inspiration for Paws Backstage.

Christie's professional life before Paws Backstage has been spent as a CPA working for both small and large public accounting firms.

Testimonials

"The therapy dogs are great.  No matter how stressful the day is, when the dog shows up, it all melts away.  The visit forces you to take a minute to just BE, then you go back to your work, reset and recharged."

“Dresden was my therapy dog for several sessions shortly after I was diagnosed with cancer. He was incredibly calm and cuddly, meeting my energy level where I was at, and perfectly obedient with his handler and me in a strange new location. Dresden’s friendly presence and companionship made the initial stages of diagnosis and treatment a lot more bearable and greatly improved my mental well-being. Love you, Dresden!”

"Nola was perfect and exactly what the family needed while my mom was in her final days of home hospice. She is so sweet and, as dog lovers, who needed that stress relief, she filled the hard days with love and some laughter."

"Dresden is a giant, huggable hunk of a rock star! He is as sweet and playful now as when he was a puppy. Beyond that, Dresden is an empath. Back when I was going through a very difficult time, Dresden stayed by side like a guardian angel. He helped me heal and I will never forget it as long as I live. I just love this boy.

What a lovable girl Nola is! Beyond being a beautiful dog, Nola has a perfectly sweet personality and she is so affectionate! Nola seems to appreciate the wonderful life she now has, and her happiness is written all over her face. She adores everyone, especially children. Nola would happily welcome being petted 24/7. This girl is a lovebug!"
